(OS 10048)Only one usage of each socket address

Postby cccp on Wed Nov 26, 2008 4:26 pm

I get the following error when I login to my server via Terminals services.

(OS 10048)Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port)
is normally permitted. : make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs

It dosent seem to cause any problems. But I would like for it to go away.

This problem is caused by another service listening to TCP/IP port 80.

Maybe you have Apache configured in your login startup, But it is already running. So when you log in you get an error
because the port is already bound.

You would need to post infomation about how you were changing the Apache port number and if you stoped and started Apache to get any changes made to take effect.

If you are still having this problem, there could be a second service listening to on port 80.
