Well, there is a couple of places offering domain names for $4 - $5 for the first year and then the jack it to about $20....Just GOOGLE domain names and you will be swamped with ads.
Personally I like www.offtangent.com
Its about $17 and they are pretty easy to work with and have a descent set of tool.
and they top out with www.networksolutions.com
The tools on their site are awesome and easy to use. But it comes with a $35 price tag, so you decide...
I go with offtangent.com, just follow the domain registration link
Oh yea... and watch out for Sluggo.
